The Regulating Council of Denomination of Origin "Chufa de Valencia".
The cultivation of tiger nut of Valencia possesses a set of agricultural, technical, historical, economical and social values which, assimilated by the people, take part of their culture and life customs, at the same time as they represent the recognition of a product by his quality and prestige. Because of that, with the "Conselleria d'Agricultura i Medi Ambient" order of 25 September 1995, the rules of Denomination of Origin "Chufa de Valencia" and his Regulating Council was approved.
